Hip and Knee Arthoplasty Department
All partial and total joint prostheses are successfully applied in the Prosthesis Surgery Department.
The partial joint prosthesis aims to replace the partially distorted joint surface and the total joint prosthesis by replacing the entire distorted joint surface with artificial materials to stabilize the joint with repetitive function and eliminate existing pain.
Knee and hip joints are the most common joints for prosthetic surgery. Prosthesis surgery is applied to these joints especially because of calcification. In addition, prosthetic surgery is also a prefered method of treatment in defects on the cartilage surfaces of joints as a result of infections, rheumatic diseases, trauma or congenital structural disorders.
Usually we raise our patients and start their rehabilitation in the first 24-48 hours after prosthesis surgery.
